About

Processed with VSCOcam with t2 presetHi! My name is Liz Diaz, I moved to Chicago ten years ago where I met my wonderful husband, Epi, and we recently had our first son, Esteban.  I am a full-time mama & wife, work part-time at a non-profit health clinic, and mentor at risk youth from the neighborhood we live in.  I am often in the minority when it comes to race and cultural background – I am white, my husband is Mexican American, we live in a primarily Latino neighborhood in Chicago, and I work in a dominantly African American neighborhood.  One of my favorite things is learning from the people around me, valuing the details of life, and hearing how situations look from different perspectives.

This blog is a space to document our family’s journey as well as the stories and situations I encounter.
